This location is the Windows Task Manager. If you don’t know where to find the executable file, just use the Windows search bar: Enter the name of the application, right-click the program and select Open file location: Windows 10’s result when searching for Firefox. You can only enable or disable those currently inside of the Startup folder. Where is the Start menu For versions of Microsoft Windows supporting the Start menu, its found by click Start and is shown in the bottom left portion of the screen by default. All you have to do is create a shortcut to the executable file (.exe file) and save it to the startup folder. The only difference is that programs cannot be added or removed. Add program: Right-click in Startup Folder > New > Shortcut > Browse > choose program > confirm. Find two tiles that you’d like to combine into a single folder. There is one area that enables you to interact with the Startup function, which contains all of the programs found inside of the folder. Navigate to Windows Start Menu > Computer (in Windows 10, click File Explorer > This PC). Press Windows + R > type shell:startup in text box. Understanding the distinction between the All Users and Current User Startup Folders is important when it comes to troubleshooting. Each account will contain a unique Startup Folder in addition to the universal Startup Folder. The second one only really matters if you have multiple accounts on your Windows 10 computer. One Windows 10 Startup folder operates at the system level and is shared among all user accounts (All Users folder), while the other operates at a user level and is unique to that user’s account (Current User folder).
